A holiday staple and guilty pleasure! Regardless of the holiday, pizza dip is always present. It goes alongside the turkey, ham, or pasta.
1 Medium Onion
2 (16 oz) Cans of Pizza Sauce
1 lb Ground Beef
1 ½ tsp Oregano
1 Tbsp Cornstarch
¼ tsp Garlic Powder
10 oz Shredded Cheddar Cheese
8 oz Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Brown beef and onion, drain fat in a
colander Add cornstarch, garlic, and oregano
Add sauce and stir until hot
Turn down heat, add cheese.
Cut bread into small 1” thick pieces.
Dip bread and enjoy!
This is the dish we used to make to go along with fish sticks to make it seem a little bit healthier. They aren’t ‘frozen’ potato wedges – they are home-made! That logic seems slightly flawed now
4 Medium Russet Potatoes (cut into large wedges)
1 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
¼ tsp Black Pepper
⅛ tsp Salt
⅛ tsp Garlic Powder
Cover potatoes with cold water for 15 minutes
Pre-heat oven to 425. Grease large baking sheet.
Drain potatoes, spread on paper towels to pat dry Transfer potatoes to large
bowl Sprinkle with oil, pepper, & salt
Toss to combine
Arrange potatoes in a single layer on the baking sheet
Bake 20 minutes using a spatula to turn potatoes and sprinkle with garlic after ten minutes.
One of my favorite foods to make during football season is Chili Bean Dip! It’s perfect for a fall day inside. Everyone will be dumbfounded by the taste of this incredibly simple recipe, but make sure you keep it a secret…let them wonder what the “secret” recipe is.
1 can Hormel’s Chili
1 bag Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 brick Cream Cheese (low fat)
Mix into microwave safe bowl
Place in Microwave for 1 minute 30 seconds to 2:00 minutes, then Stir.
Place back in Microwave for 45 seconds.
Can be cooked in a small crock-pot as well for continued warmth
These are my favorite snack food for graduation parties, birthdays, and tailgating! I never believed my mom that she actually added grape jelly do the meatballs, but then I finally saw her make it. Don’t let the jelly scare you away – these meatballs are amazing.
Basic Meatballs Appetizer
1 lb of Ground Beef
1 Small Onion (chopped)
¼ C Dry Bread Crumbs
½ tsp Salt
⅛ tsp Pepper
Combine all ingredients, mix in
mixing bowl until well blended. Shape into 1-inch balls.
Arrange on un-greased shallow
baking pan. Bake at 400 for 15-20 minutes.
