Chili Bean Dip

One of my favorite foods to make during football season is Chili Bean Dip! It’s perfect for a fall day inside. Everyone will be dumbfounded by the taste of this incredibly simple recipe, but make sure you keep it a secret…let them wonder what the “secret” recipe is.

 

Chili Bean Dip

Ingredients
  • 1 can Hormel’s Chili
  • 1 bag Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 brick Cream Cheese (low fat)

Instructions
  1. Mix into microwave safe bowl
  2. Place in Microwave for 1 minute 30 seconds to 2:00 minutes, then Stir.
  3. Place back in Microwave for 45 seconds.
  4. Enjoy!

Notes
Can be cooked in a small crock-pot as well for continued warmth

French Toast

It’s a ritual in my house to make French toast over the Holidays! My dad makes the best and it’s one of my favorite foods to eat for breakfast.

Ingredients
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 3 Eggs
  • ½ tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 12 thick slices of Bread

Instructions
  1. Whisk the milk and eggs together in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium heat.
  3. Soak bread slices in mixture until saturated. Cook the bread on each side until golden brown.
  4. Serve hot with powdered sugar, fruit, etc. You can add any topping you want!

Basic Meatballs Appetizer

These are my favorite snack food for graduation parties, birthdays, and tailgating! I never believed my mom that she actually added grape jelly do the meatballs, but then I finally saw her make it. Don’t let the jelly scare you away – these meatballs are amazing.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb of Ground Beef
  • 1 Small Onion (chopped)
  • ¼ C Dry Bread Crumbs
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ⅛ tsp Pepper
  • 1 Egg

Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients, mix in mixing bowl until well blended.
  2. Shape into 1-inch balls.
  3. Arrange on un-greased shallow baking pan.
  4. Bake at 400 for 15-20 minutes.
